"Dying for a Leek" - Update

Where to begin…..we are completely overwhelmed by the support from the locals who came out in force to see our latest show “Dying for a Leek”. It was a complete sell out and everybody smashed it!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and supported the production, it really does mean the world to us. Without the support, we obviously can’t put on a show so it really is important to us that people come and watch us.

We hope everyone had a great evening and well done to those who worked out who the murderer was!!

If anyone is interested in joining our group, please do contact us whether you want to be on stage or behind the scenes. If you’re tempted to go on stage but are a bit apprehensive about it, pop along to our next meeting and you can see what it’s all about. The main thing is to have fun and we hope you can see from our latest show that we all have a ball!

Keep yours eyes peeled for our next production…..

Wine Tasting - Update

The wine tasting event on 17th February 2023 was an absolute success and everyone had a great time. Thank you to all those who came along for a fun night and to Laithwaites for hosting the event.

We will hopefully be putting on another one later on in 2023.

Play Reading - 26th July 2022 - Update!!

What a wonderful turn out we had for our first play reading!

It was so good to see so many new faces and to welcome back some old friends.

We manged to combine some play reading, drinks and nibbles, and of course lots of giggles.

During the evening we read excerpts from Habeas Corpus by Alan Bennet, The Monster Mashed by Debi Wahl,  Blythe Spirit by Noel Coward and a really funny play called Dirty Dusting by Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood.

It is encouraging to think that people are still interested in Amateur Dramatics in this era of electronics.

We are hoping to put on a production in the spring of next year and will start rehearsals this October. Our regular rehearsal nights are on Tuesday’s and all are welcome!

If you think you would like to participate in any way, on, behind, or in front of the stage, please don’t hesitate to contact us on [email protected].
